01what we collect
Sprout stores the information you add to the app: habits, completions, mood logs, journal entries, coach messages, goals, preferences, and account details.
If you subscribe, we store subscription status and billing references from Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
02how we use it
We use your data to run the app, sync your account, show your history, calculate patterns, manage subscriptions, send account emails, and keep your account secure.
When you use AI features, relevant habit, mood, journal, goal, coach, or audio context is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the provider used for that feature. OpenAI handles text and images. Transcription may use OpenAI, Google, or SpaceXAI, and TypeSafe may help choose a category or reflection prompt.
03who helps process it
Sprout uses Convex for app data, Vercel AI Gateway and the AI providers listed above for AI features, Stripe for payments, AWS SES for email, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Apple platform services for iOS features.
We do not sell your personal data.
04your controls
You can export your data or delete your account from personalise. Account deletion removes your Sprout data and cancels active Stripe billing first when possible.
You can control privacy lock and reminders in the iOS app settings.
Journal AI reading is off until you choose it. Turning it on allows the pages you include to inform second looks and journal insights in Patterns. You can exclude individual pages, choose whether to include earlier pages, and switch notes on return on or off separately. Ordinary Patterns calculations and your saved pages remain available with AI reading off.
Your pages sync through your Sprout account whichever reading choice you make. Speaking a page still sends the recording to an AI service for transcription. Turning AI reading off stops future journal AI processing; notes you have chosen to keep remain unless you remove them.
05retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. Deleted account data is removed from the live app systems, with limited operational records kept only when needed for security, billing, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
06safety
Sprout is a habit, mood, journal, and coaching app. It is not a therapist, doctor, crisis service, or emergency monitoring tool.
